Meet the Parents ( Accy-kun)

I frowned slightly and crossed my arms over my chest. I wanted to retaliate and go off listing a good 10 reasons why I should go, but I didn't. I bit my lip and then sighed. " Where will you go? I could hook you up with a nice hotel suite if you like." I said,my expresion neutral.

He shook his head again. "No. I've already found a place, and no, i'm not telling you where. I'll spend time here during the day, not counting work, but outside that...I just won't be here."

I sighed and flopped down on his bed. " But...What am I gonna do at night?" I asked, pouting slightly. He knew I hated sleeping alone. I had left all my teddy bears at home and the ones I had here were down right creepy. I sighed and turned oer on my stomach so my back was somewhat to him.

"And I'll be much better off?" He sighed, knowing he couldn't win, not that he truly wanted to. "It's for the best. And trust me, your dad would rather me not here anyways."

I sighed and sat up. I looked up at him and frowned slightly. " He might think you're running away. He'll think you weak and then he'll never give his blessing." I said in a matter of fact tone. I wanted him to stay, but that wasn't my choice. He was still his own person.

"Then let him. He'll think what he wants no matter what I say or do. In the end, it's his own ideals. His own thoughts, that shall decide. And believe me, He's already decided. Just look in his eyes."

I sighed and closed my eyes. I knew he was right. But I had to hope that atleast something would turn out ok. Right now I wanted to cry but I wouldn't. Not infront of Zidane anyways. " I know my father love. I also know you." I said, opening my eyes and walking over to him. " His decision can change. Just...be yourself." I said, almost pleading.

"I am. I've already made up my mind. I promise I won't leave you here forever. It's just the week right? Besides, your father won't change his mind. I promise you that." he shook his head, a smile dancing on his face.

I sighed and smiled slightly. His words were pretty reasuring. The week thing was a little off though. Sarah might make us stay for some fancy buisness event that I was praying we could weazle out of. Father didn't really care if I was there or not since he knew I didn't like them either.I sighed and streched upward, raising my hands in the air. "And how are you so sure he won't change his mind?" I asked,s mirking slightly.

"Positive. If you look closely at his eyes." Zidane turned away from her. "His eyes shine with hope. Hope that can't be given in such an easy way."

I stared at him for a little while, a confused expression on my face. I plopped down on one of the plush chair that were in the room and crossed a leg over the other. " What hope is he looking for exactly?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. I had never thought my father as someone who hoped for things. He always got things done himself.

Zidane shruged. "I'm leaving after dinner. Don't try to stop me. You know i'll be back"

I sighed andpinched the bridge of my nose. " Promise me you'll stay safe?" I asked in a quiet voice that I had never heard myself use before. I had always been very forthcoming and held on to my beliefs tightly but it felt like I had suddennly become some nervous wreck.

He smiled, but didn't answer. He just turned ad disappeared behind the door. He didn't feel like sitting around. He wanted to move. To get something done.

I sighed and wandered over to his bed. I crawled in under the covers and fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. I was pretty lazy at the beggining of the week.

Mary Ann quietly emerged from her room, flashlight at hand. At the moment she was playing spy and had already discovered her first target. She walked over to Zidane and tugged at the back of his pants. " Whatcha doin?" she asked, pointing the flashlight beam up at him.

"Nothing. Nothing at all. It sucks to tell the truth." He smiled and patted the top of her head, "Are you happy here?"

Mary Ann stred fixedly up at him before shaking her head no. " Not really. Daddy's a lot happier at our beach house and mommy can't stop talking about having another baby. If it wasn't for the nice cleaning ladies I'd be alone." she said, sighing.

"That's what I thought. And...I want you to know." A tear rolled down his cheek. "If you want to...You can come live with Crys, the babe, And I. You're family now. Now and Forever."

Mary Ann stared up at him with big bambi eyes. She hugged his as best she could and nodded her head."Guten tag Zidane." she murmered with a thick accent.

He laughed, although it seemed to lack substance. "Mmm. I'mma go have a chat with her father. I need to apologize for my behaviour earlier."

Mary Ann sighed and shook her head." Daddy? You don't wanna see daddy. Him and mommy are fighting about what happens after daddy dies. Its real dumb." she said, frowning slightly.

"No. This needs to be settled now. He's still got life in him, this wedding is more important than who gets all his stuff." Zidane turned, and walked away, determination in his eyes.

Mary Ann nodded but tugged on his pant legs again. " Uncle...he's not in his study. Him and mommy are in the lounge." she said, pointing downstairs and making a face.

He nodded her a thanks and allowed her a smile. He was glad at least someone accepted him. "Thank you ma'am." His smile only broadened as he approached them.

" Be carecful Uncle. My daddy's very smart. Don't sighn anything!" Mary Ann said in a hushed voice as she followed Zidane. Juaquin, Crys' father, and Sarah were in the lounge, Jack was sitting on a recliner and Sarah was infront of him lookin pissed off. They didn't notice the new arrivals. " I don't see why not. She wpuldn't have any use for it and I'm sure she has better things to do." said Sarah, frowning with her hands on her hips.
