He rolled his eyes. She was supposed to smack him around and tell him what an idea he was. "It's a great high." He sighed. "I just wish Cecile got to meet her. They'd definitely love eachother."

"Um... who's Cecile?" I asked curiously. He seemed kind of different. I liked him a whole lot better today. "Shouldn't you have retired from dating if you are going to have a child?" I asked hoping it wasn't out of place for me to say that. I knew it was though. That was between him and the girl he knocked up

"My sister...She...passed on." He shook his head lightly. He had known it was her the moment he had gotten the note asking him out, and he'd already taken it up with Crys. They were engaged after all. He decided to use it as a chance to get away from some things. "I already did." He spoke softly, leaning back.

"Oh... um, I'm sorry. Have you... uh, I mean... have you talked to her since then?" I asked before biting my lip. I wasn't really sure what I should say.

"She's dead. Of course not." Not that I want, or deserve to. "Besides, it not really like she's still able to reply. She's just in some hole in the ground now."

Confusion came over my face, once again. What did he mean 'she's in some hole in the ground'? "Well, yeah, her body is. She is probably in the fields, but if you ask a Hades kid I'm sure they would let you talk to her... Damon would! He spends a lot of time talking to his sisters Isobel and Elodie!"

"There's no such thing." He leaned back slightly. "When we die, it's over. No conciousness. And if we did become ghosts. It'd be one bad taunt to request the audience of a ghosty. It's just not worth believing in. So I don't."

"That's not true!" I argued, stubbornly. How could he even believe that? How could anyone not even hope that there was something to live for after this. That was insanity. My mind just couldn't comprehend it fully. I didn't want to.

He shrugged, not really caring. "I'm atheistic in every shape form and fashion. The way I see it. I don't want to be cursed to have to live again. So I don't believe that's how it is."
